SELF BUILD MANUAL MAKES DREAM CONSERVATORY REAL

SELF BUILD MANUAL MAKES DREAM CONSERVATORY REALFor those who dream of owning a fabulous hardwood conservatory but have so far lacked the budget, a unique self-build alternative is now available from one of the country’s leading manufacturers at a fraction of the normal price.

David Salisbury conservatories are at the luxury end of the market, with a string of awards for their imaginative design, quality materials and workmanship.

Now, with the launch of David Salisbury Direct and a unique manual, homeowners with DIY skills or access to their own builder can design and erect their own bespoke David Salisbury conservatory, enjoying the same exceptional product quality, for about the same price as a supplier-fitted, mass-market plastic alternative.

The company delivers the superstructure ready for self-assembly, using the same quality materials and the same wide choice of designs, ranging from traditional Edwardian or Victorian models to more contemporary options, tailored to meet any design challenge.

A unique, step-by-step 70 page self-build guide, “The Conservatory Manual”, explains every stage of the process - choosing a design, briefing the builder, preparing groundwork¹s and the complete installation process.

Because David Salisbury conservatories are so well engineered, installation can take as little as three to five days, helped by the simplicity and plain English of the illustrated conservatory manual.

Sales director Gary Edgecombe says: “The David Salisbury Direct concept will enable our customers to choose and build a classic conservatory that would normally cost around £35,000 for as little as a third of that cost. This will be achieved by stripping out the costs of our full-service package.”

All David Salisbury conservatories use the same carefully selected, kiln-dried, class-one hardwood, sourced from managed, renewable plantations. Timber is pre-cut to individual needs so components fit perfectly. Every component from door handles to hinges is made to the highest standards.

The manual is available through www.davidsalisbury-direct.com for £9.95 plus p & p, which is refundable when an order is placed.

Editors notes:
David Salisbury is one of the UK¹s leading designers and manufacturers of quality hardwood conservatories and orangeries. Its purpose-built, state-of-the-art factory at Highbridge, Somerset combines the best of traditional craftsmanship and creative design with the latest computer-controlled technology that ensures precision engineering of all components. Its traditional full-service conservatories can cost over £ 150,000, which includes the costs of on-site meetings, surveying, planning and building regulations advice, groundwork¹s and erection to final painting.

The David Salisbury Direct package includes “The Conservatory Manual”, a set of manufacturing drawings and of course a David Salisbury conservatory with a specified number of opening doors and windows. All joinery is spray-finished and the conservatory is glazed with double-glazed units and security glazing tape. It also includes all architectural ironmongery, rainwater goods, rafter cappings, a structural roof tie and where requested skylights.
